" MANY IN THE NETWORK MEDIA
ATTEMPT TO TIE BUSH TO THE ENRON SCANDAL AND UNFAIRLY PROTECT THE
CLINTON ADMINISTRATION BY NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY"
The Major Media has been on a feeding frenzy concerning Enron and The
Bush Administration.
Of course the Major Media is carrying out exactly what the Democrats
want to portray as the "facts" about the Enron Scandal and are
conveniently leaving out huge parts of the story in order to see if
the wonderful Bush poll numbers can be shaken.
....but where are the REAL Enron/Clinton Facts?
You know the stuff that really matters like Enron securing Billion
Dollar foreign energy deals right after donating to Democrats.
Where is the story about Enron Officials being on repeated high level
trade missions with the Clinton Administration after donating to
Democrats (at least 11 Official Clinton Trade Missions)?
Enron CEO Ken Lay being praised publicly by President Clinton as an "
Outstanding Corporate Leader" after donating to Democrats.
Clinton's Chief Of Staff, Mack McLarty, going to work for Enron.
Enron securing Billion Dollar deals with help from the Clinton
Administration (a 1995 Time magazine article reveals Clinton
instructed chief of staff Mack McLarty to help Enron chairman Ken Lay
secure approval for a $3 billion power plant project in India, in June
1996, four days before India granted final approval for the project,
Enron gave $100,000 to the Democratic Party. (Time Magazine)
Clinton Secretary Of Treasury Robert Rubin loaning Enron hundreds of
millions of dollars (800 Million) as soon as he leaves the Clinton
Administration. (US News & World Report Jan 28, 2002)
Clinton ambassador to India, Frank Wisner charged with keeping the
Enron/India project afloat taking a seat on the board of directors of
a company then controlled by Enron.
Clinton's former Secretary of Treasury, Robert Rubin, frantically
calling Bush, begging for Enron to be "saved" as it collapsed.
Enron CEO Lay golfing with President Clinton after donating large sums
of money to the Democrats.
Enron CEO Ken Lay being invited to “The Clinton White House” to
discuss energy problems in closed door meetings.
Enron chairman Kenneth Lay being a member of President Clinton’s
Council on Sustainable Development.
Enron receiving an award from the Clinton EPA.
Enron CEO Lay personally met with Clinton Energy Secretary Federico
Peña on Feb. 20, 1998. Peña asked Enron officials to keep Energy
Department staffers posted on developments in Congress, and solicited
comments on the administration's draft of its Comprehensive National
Energy Strategy, an Enron document said. Lay felt the draft was
"headed in the right direction"...
In 1996, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, stocked with
Clinton appointees, helped Enron with a series of orders that weakened
the monopoly of nuclear and coal-burning utilities. In July of that
year, Enron gave $100,000 to the Democratic Party. (Washington Post
Jan 13, 2002)
On Aug. 4, 1997, Lay and seven other energy executives met with
Clinton, Gore, Rubin and other top officials at the White House to
discuss the U.S. position at the upcoming conference on global warming
in Kyoto, Japan. (Washington Post Jan13, 2002)
it goes on and on.......
To blame the Enron Scandal on George Bush is just ridiculous fantasy
land. Enron became what it was under Bill Clinton. Enron made Billion
Dollar deals under Bill Clinton after donations, meetings and official
trade missions with the Clinton Administration. A governor of Texas
doesn’t make Billion Dollar Enron deals possible with India, or give
Enron access to 11 Official US Trade Missions fron Austin, Texas. To
Blame President Bush for the Enron Scandal is like blaming the new
President in Afghanistan for that Country's current economic problems.
